A beam of light is trickling in, spilling onto the floorboards, carrying with it the sound of soft conversations from the next room. Outside the black road shines, the power lines loom, orange streetlights glimmer, accompanied with the glow of the white moon.
Visions of home, memory and landscape are represented through textile, writing, and painting. The mundane is made magical through art. The exhibition is a collaboration between seven Tāmaki Makaurau based artists, working through an array of mediums. Displays of found objects, handcrafted quilts, printed poetry, and paintings are arranged in a naturalistic way to cultivate the feeling of home.
